Bodhi

Bodhi means awakening or enlightenment.
Bodhidharma was a legendary Buddhist monk, although no one knows if he was coming from South India or Persia.
Bodhidharma transmitted Buddhism to China, he also considered the founder of Zen Buddhism in China that created a far-reaching influence on Chinese history.
Bodhidharma was a former prince of South India, he became a monk after awake. During Southern and Northern Dynasties,
he preached Zen Buddhism across China that be called Mahayana Buddhism
which can be defined as a major movement in the history of Buddhism. He also practised Buddhism in Shaolin Temple, Mount Song.
His books had tremendous impacts on Buddhism in China and South-eastern countries.
